This is a tool for automation of production scheduling, trimming and retrimming processes for all Paper Machines and Cut Size Lines at Mondi Syktyvkar (actual annual savings – 340’000 Euro); • Development of the mill’s outbound transport logistics strategy (competitive customer service with consideration of most of relevant objective constraints); • Splitting and launching of railway workshop as an independent subsidiary (transparent cost structure for department and consequent optimization); • Launching of the mill’s container terminal for block train service (export goods in 40 ft containers). Partial resolving of existing finished goods stock capacity constraints and optimal coordination with according forwarder; • Automation of document flow process (electronic railway bills) to decrease the time from shipping to invoicing for domestic deliveries (working capital decreasing); • FIATA forwarder’s notes (optimization of working capital for export goods); • GPS locomotive control system (process and according cost optimization – annual savings of 97’000 Euro for diesel fuel); • Substitution of self pickup truck deliveries by competitive outsourced forwarding service. Taking control over the deliveries to improve customer service and optimal using of available warehouse capacity; • STEP warehousing concept. Comprehensive concept for receiving, handling and releasing of all the materials for mill expansion project (has been prepared and defended/approved due to urgent necessity within 2 months).; • Block production planning (taking process and responsibility from group to the mill’s level for more efficiency and flexibility of production planning process); • Structure analysis and optimization of outbound transport expenses; • Reengineering of finished goods warehouse processes; • Integration of GPS locomotive control system into the mill’s wagon management system.
