I took part in the Migration Project of engineering applications from AutoDesk, Wolfram, Ansys and etc. (~100 packages for ~3500 registered network users) from NICE95/NT (Windows 95/NT and Novell Netware) to NICE2000 (Windows 2000/XP). For this Project I did: - Adaptation of ~50 existing MSI vendor packages for local NICE2000 environment. Environment and Tools: Windows 2000 Server and Workstation, Orca editor, VBScript, Visual C. - Creation of ~20 new MSI packages where needed for vendor or CERN software. Environment and Tools: InstallShield for Windows Installer, Veritas Software, Wise Solutions. - Service Packs and patch upgrades for commercial and CERN software. - Test applications and feedback bug and program error information to vendors and software developers. - Central installation management on the domain controllers. Environment and Tools: ZAP, VBScript, Active Directory and Group Policy Management on Windows 2000 domain controllers. - License server setup, monitoring and control of licensed applications (AutoCAD 2000i, AutoCAD 2002 (MDT6), AutoDesk Inventor 5.3, PCAD 2002 and etc.). Environment and Tools: Windows 2000 Server, FlexLM, Elan and SentinelLM license servers. - Monitor servers, workstations; user training and help desk support, including basic Windows problems. - User documentation, presentations and publications.

Environment and Tools: DIANE installation floppy using Visual Basic for DOS, ATI video drivers, Plug and Play issues for ISA cards for NT. - License server setup, monitoring and control of licensed applications (AutoCAD 13, AutoCAD 14, PSpice and etc.). Environment and Tools: Windows NT Server, FlexLM, Elan and SentinelLM license servers. - Developing special software for several NICE projects (hardware inventory for client PCs, MS mail migration, license monitoring and user statistic for engineering applications) in client-server and Web-based architecture.
