XYZ project, Deutsche Bank Offshore Dedicated Center Project description XYZ project is aimed to create Loan Approval system as an out-of-the-box solution that Deutsche Bank is going to sell along with its consulting services. It can be installed on any J2EE compliant environment and any modern relational database. The application has to be customizable to adopt different scoring models according to particular bank’s requirements and API as well as GUI is provided to achieve this. The application has database abstraction layer implemented with Hibernate 3 and JPA and is built on Springframework, it was tested under BEA Weblogic/IBM Websphere/Tomcat and Oracle/MS SQL Server 2005. The project was started from scratch in March 2007 RESPONSIBILITIES Running the project team, creating project plan, negotiations with customers, initial requirements gathering, scope verification, tasks estimation and assignment, quality assurance, application and database design, development, tenders technical support, delivery control DUTIES Managing the project team of 6 people (Java developers, analysts, testers, technical writer), reporting to Program Manager. Creating the product releases strategic plan, creating project plan based on the release scope, interaction with Deutsche Bank customers in order to define scope, solve project issues, developing prototypes, supporting UAT both onsite (Singapore) and remotely. Creating technical design and modules architecture with use of UML diagrams, day to day project issues solving, project team support and people management, monitoring release activities and managing risks, supporting application deployment to QA, UAT and Demo environments. Supporting Deutsche Bank in preparing tender documentation. Controlling and supporting the technical writer in creating product documentation. DM project, Deutsche Bank Offshore Dedicated Center Project description DM is one of seven projects in ABC program which encounters about 80 people in Moscow and Kiev and 10 people in New-York, London and Frankfurt; The ABC system consists of 6 separate J2EE applications depending on each other and running under BEA Weblogic 9.2 and Oracle 10g. Development and support of such an application involves very sophisticated release lifecycle and makes a real challenge to keep the applications in sync. ABC development team is using 8 application environments for Development, QA and UAT. Numerous database feeds are developed in order to exchange data between projects databases and feed in information from other Deutsche Bank applications.
