A designer (architect) at the Design block of the Department of Real Estate. My major duties were designing sales offices and assisting in project management all over Russia. It all begins with the creation a unique shop layout tailored to a particular acquired space. Then the layout is sent to all the directors and managers for their endorsement through cooperate mail client service. When the shop layout has been endorsed, then production of the working drawings begins. The working drawings comprise of existing floor plan, shop layout, partition walls, structural details, sections, floor plan, ceiling plan, lightening plan, electrical plan, elevations (wall sweeps), schedules, technical reports and instructions. Handing over the drawing documents construction, I continue to manage and consult builders through to the completion of the project. In some cases, revising old design drawings to current company standards to be reconstructed. Working with the MTS Group, I amassed great experience, cooperate ethics and time management, networking, just to mention a few.

(Part-time on a project contract basis).Basically, we did interior deco designs for the upper class segment all over Russia and abroad. During my time with this studio, I designed a detached house for one of our clients in Baku, Azerbaijan. A 430.4 sqm stone house on a 5000 sqm plot with a picturesque view. It has a foyer, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a study room, living room with a fireplace, kitchen and dining room. This eventually became my major project with the studio.

A six-month contract project. Within the contract period I was involved in the designing of up-market and medium class residential homes for a pilot project. Further more, I helped manage a few refurbishing jobs around the country. One of which was the refurbishing of the Etosha resort game park. The biggest game park in Namibia. There we refurbished two of the entry gates Namutoni and Obika gates respectively. We also redesigned an office building and reorganized the drive ways and parking lots for these gates.

As a form of my national service to the nation I found employment with the Avangarde Design Service. An architectural and civil engineering firm where I was employed as an assistant architect. During my year contract period with this company, I was assigned two major projects to design and manage. They were: Deed registry offices at Ho, Volta region and at Cape Coast, Central region. These were new office blocks to be designed and built as an extension to the existing office blocks. Also, I was given the honour to part take in the designing of the new court complex to be at 28th February road in Accra with a group of architects. I was assigned to design and organise parking lot for minimum of 300 cars within the boundary walls of the court complex with a very limited space. I was able to achieve 318 parking spaces. Moreover, I was given the task to design a boarding house school for 700 – 750 students. The name of the project was Prince and Princess School at Oyibi, Accra. It was a mix sex junior and senior secondary school combined. In the project was the designing of dormitories, classroom + workshop blocks, dining hall + pantry, assembly hall and an administration + library + sick bay block.

A team of two, my foreman and I, we traveled around the UK, installing playground equipment. We used a mini digger (for moving soil) and other engineering equipment for clearing and the sites prior installation.
