Main author of highly composable / customisable in run-time real time OS based on component architecture of channels and data flow processing elements. CVM Active Application Framework Smart Messages IPC - distributed interprocess communication framework based on QNX messages and shared memory. Active Reliable Multicast (ARM) family of protocols including ARMTP multicast transport protocol, SAP - session announcement protocol and multicast multi-session framework. Bulk multicast data transfer with TFTP Took part in the design of the following Active Applications for Cambira Active Network platform: Multicast Media Streaming framework (MPEG video / audio) for Darwin video server. With a Palm Mall Navigator a shopping mall visitor can get information on the goods of his/her particular interest directly to his Palm Pilot from electronic kiosks scattered across the mall. User can specify his shopping preferences in Mall Navigator and then get relevant information on the best byes including graphical map and navigation guide to mall locations of interest as well as up-to-date advertisements. These and other projects were accomplished according to contracts with mostly US companies.

The main goal of this research project is to build a distributed Java Beans framework according to Open Implementation design principles that will provide for dynamic components that are both reusable and very efficient for a wide range of clients. Framework components/beans will allow their clients individual control over the beans's own implementation strategy. This flexibility is achieved with meta approach to the bean implementation strategy specified in XML As a part of this project I personally developed Object-oriented extension for standard Prolog. XLogo - is a pilot project I developed to research Meta OOP advantages for building dynamic component frameworks.

    Principal technical member of the team developing network architecture for ParaGraph Multiuser Virtual Space VRML 2.0 environment. Together with other four engineers created the architecture of reliable transport protocol over UDP, specifically designed to provide effective delivery of motion and state information in multiuser Internet VRML world. Personally implemented this protocol for PC Client running under Win95 / WinNT as C++ class library ( Windows DLL built with MSVC++) and also as Java class library package. Research Architecture for "VRML Beans" - reusable VRML components with behavior, which properties can be easily manipulated and customized in VRML2.0 builder tools. My Java class libraries, applets, beans and applications Aliens3D - Simple VRML multiuser world built with CosmoPlayer EAI and ObjectSpace Voyager Java ORB as a core for multiuser technology. User can not only navigate the world and chat but also interact with others by affecting alien shapes when they get into user surrounding "aura". Video Server Java application controls Canon video camera connected via RS232 to PC. Remote Video Client Java applet runs in Java-enabled WEB browser and provides remote control of camera tracking, zooming and other functions over Internet. Both, server and client classes were implemented as distributed software components that use ETL HORB (Distributed Java Object Request Broker) framework to communicate camera control commands from Remote Control applet to Video Control Java Server running on arbitrary Internet host. To allow Video Server interact with RS232 hardware that controls video camera, Java native class library was created. I did all the work on this project from architectural design to full implementation of remote video control Java client / server classes and native server class library. Java HTML parser library for JDK 1.0, that I developed from HTML parser prototype code created by Arthur van Hoff (Sun) for testing beta release of HotJava. WEX - Web EXtractor - is a Java application I developed to recursively retrieve WEB subtrees of HTML documents and related files referenced in HTML tags from Internet WEB sites and store them locally. WEX was submitted to the Java Cup International contest for software developers sponsored by Sun Microsystems, Inc. For WEX to work more effectively it runs additional thread for each location it saves, while parsing HTML in a separate thread.
