On this position I was responsible
1. To supervise team of more then 110 Engineers and Managers located in Moscow and in Kiev:
For these teams I was responsible to set up and evaluate 6 heads of department’s performance using KPI in accordance to company and Business Unit (BU) goals. As well I evaluated personal development goals to secure employees key competences for new projects, leadership attributes. Supervise daily activities; insure Schedule, Budget and Quality performance of design work and production.
These teams are responsible for design and production support of all Boeing airplanes (737, 747, 747, 777) in Structure, Systems, Main cabin Interiors and Cargo Compartment. We supported design and manufacturing changes driven by Customer unique requirements, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, Production Improvement, Suppliers components changes. All teams closely cooperate with supplier management and production teams.
2. To lead B2B sales companies
I was responsible to develop approach and hold sales companies with US program managers to insure stable and growing workload for Moscow office employees. I earned good reputation and trust from major customers allowed to get stable and long flow workload for more then 110 employees.
Moscow Boeing Office has competition with several internal to Boeing design centers (Design Centers located in Saint-Louis, Charleston, California, Long-Beach) and External Design centers located in different countries (TATA in India, Continental Data Graphics located in UK/USA/INDIA, MESA in Spain, Alenia in Italy, etc.). Every project started from design and production cost estimation, parts production and assembly planning activities. Average project flow n aviation is 5 – 8 years. I compete for 11 big Boeing projects, got them and successfully completed all of them.
3. To supervise Quality at Organization level
I supported activities to maintain and develop common approach to measure and report quality performance in compliance with ISO 9001 and internal company requirements (schedule, budget, quality on different design/production stages) for Moscow based Project teams (total Moscow and Kiev Design Centers headcount is 1300 heads)
4. Team skills developing
On this position I worked with piers and reporting managers/leads to implement LEAN+ (effective production approach similar to 5S or Toyota Kanban), grow up engineering and technical skills in respect to future company needs. During my work for Boeing company I grew up 3 managers (including one senior manager) and more then 15 lead engineers report to me or work in other company Business units.
