Accomplishments: • Led department effort to automate and improve Royalty accounting process leading to 10-fold improvement in update speed and enhanced accuracy; • Harmonized intercompany bookkeeping mechanisms to minimize variances, with a decrease of over 250% resulting; • Sought out additional responsibility on Intercompany Loans desk in last quarter of 2010; automated tie-out process to enhance verification mechanisms; • Provided US GAAP education to Service Accounting team on January 2011, as well as Excel education to Treasury team on September 2010 and to Finance division on November 2010; • Completed training of 4 international associates in AP, LA and EMEA regions and maintain mentorship.

Accomplishments: • Developed three educational packages on IBM revenue recognition practices and provided training materials to IBM Accounting division in 2009-2010; • Developed Excel/Macro/VBA educational package consisting of 3 parts. Course includes Excel Macros, arrays, pivot tables, lookups, amortization schedules etc. and taught at IBM Accounting division as part of professional advancement on-site training series; • Significantly enhanced and automated the Prepaid Cost Reconciliation using Excel and VBA tools, leading to 50-fold improvement in update speed and subsequent department-wide adoption of technology; • Significantly enhanced and automated the SO Income and Expense and Balance Sheet packages using Excel tools, leading to 100-fold improvement in update speed; • Trained and mentored three new members of department; • Developed a new format for quarterly sector trend reviews with focus on effective quantitative analysis and visual presentation for management purposes; • Developed a uniformal SO Sector Accountant Desk Procedure which establishes uniformal rules, including back-up requirements, for Deferrals/Accruals, Account usage, reconciliation submission and management reporting.
