Boeing CH-47F (Chinook) Helicopter Avionics Management System Program
o Responsible, as a team member (Richardson TX and Cedar Rapids IA), for AMS Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) Platform level requirements capture, system design, test design and requirements validation and verification (V&V) activities in the development lab thru integration testing execution in preparation for Blue Label software delivery to System Integration Lab (SIL).
o Responsible for Platform level requirements management via IBM Rational DOORS software, Tortoise Subversion (SVN) version control software, and Peer Review Eclipse Plugin (PREP) software by way of analysis, decomposition, and allocation of System Software Specification (SSS), System Integration Test (SIT) verification documents, Interface Requirements Specification (IRS), Human Machine Interface Design Description (HMIDD) for Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) and Control Display Units (CDUs), Interface Design Description (IDD), Software System Design Description (SSDD), Data Loader Specification (DLS) interfacing with Boeing’s Prime Item Development Specification (PIDS) and Crew System Interface Description (CSID) as well as with subsystem level Software Requirements Specification (SRS) for the helicopter AMS Communication System that includes replacing Raytheon V/UHF ARC-231 with Rockwell Collins V/UHF ARC-210 software-definable radio and addition of ARC-220 Advanced High Frequency (HF) Aircraft Communication System (communication via MIL-STD-1553 data bus).
o Requirements linking and structuring in DOORS modules, requirements errors correction via the PREP process.
o Interface with and support of departments, system and subsystem engineers, architects, and domain leads through requirements capture, functional & integration testing, and software delivery.
o Coordination, documentation, review, and test of display formats, display functions, crew alerting logic, and system interfaces.
o Deadlines monitoring (Rockwell's Agile Software Development Sprints, PDR, CDR) and active participation in project schedules regarding requirements status.
