Quantity surveying, estimating and tender management in the pre-contract stage and on-site project controls in the post-contract stage with a special focus on mechanical & electrical systems and infrastructure. (Retail centers, offices, industrial and warehouse facilities, fit-out projects) IKEA–Mega Shopping Center, Samara: Design and construction of 260,000 m2 retail and entertainment complex. Joined the project team as an independent consultant at a point where relations between the general contractor and the client had halted the giant project already for several weeks and potentially for years, in case of a legal action involvement for settling issues. Acted as a mediator between parties to get the contractor’s outstanding payments while making sure that the payments were spent in financing the project only. Authorized payments over $20,000,000 in total and settled a variation claims issue totaling over $15,000,000. Each variation claim was investigated thoroughly and a final agreement was made between parties for over $6,000,000 defeating all rights of the contractor for any future claims. While disputes between parties were resolved amicably as desired, a detailed documentation of client’s arguments was prepared considering a possible arbitration case. Managed a major investigation on a fire incident on site and claimed and collected over $2,000,000 from the insurance company.
