• Prepare and facilitate in-person and online workshops in areas related to employment and pre-employment.
• Create and revamp employment and pre-employment workshop materials and maintain an up-to-date e-copy and hard copy.
• Prepare boardroom facilities for group session and events in centre.
• Liaise with Employment Consultants regarding changes to employment action plans and need for non-employment services and support.
• Instruct clients on resume development and self-marketing strategies, effective interview skills and phone calling techniques, among other job search tools and techniques.
• Assist clients to outreach and market themselves to employers to ensure placements.
• Assists clients with Second Career applications.
• Provide technical and professional support to clients using centre services.
• Maintain up-to-date materials in R & I area including flyers; books and job search materials.
• Provide feedback on clients’ resumes, cover letters, and employment solicitation, follow up and thank you letters.
• Conduct in-house and off-site The Mentoring Partnership information sessions and perform follow-up.
• Evaluate validity of online resources relevant to career planning and development, job search strategies and employment opportunities.
• Organize and arrange activities, workshop and special event within the centre and completes schedule for R and I and off-site information sessions.
• Recruit employers for job fairs/employer events and coordinate marketing and delivery as part of an annual marketing strategy in collaboration with Business Liaison.
• Promote job posting service to employer and conduct employer follow-up.
• Liaise with and makes presentations to other community organizations, ethno specific agencies, training institutions, regulatory bodies, etc. to increase awareness about COSTI’s programs and services.
• Market cente services through outreach to local residents and businesses at community booths, events and job/career fairs.
• Compile statistics both electronically and in hardcopy using designated forms and procedures
