My primary specialization is zoology of vertebrates, my area of investigation includes behavioral ecology of large carnivores, bioacoustics, genetics, and wildlife conservation. In 2008 I graduated from the biological faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, in 2013 I defended my Ph.D. thesis, dedicated to behavior ecology of the Asiatic black bear. Since 2015, I have been working at the biological faculty of the MSU as a junior researcher. I conduct field research in expeditions in the Russian Far East, write scientific papers for the journals listed in the Web of Sciences and apply for grants, mainly in English. I regularly participate in international scientific conferences and communicate with foreign colleagues. For three years (2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2020-2021) I have been teaching vertebrate zoology to first-year students of the Biological Faculty of the Moscow State University, conducted seminars and practical classes.

Since 2015, I have been teaching English to school children and preschoolers to improve their knowledge of the language, help with homework and prepare for university entrance exams. I use an individual communicative approach based on the age, level of language proficiency, personal interests and hobbies of the student. I mainly use American textbooks. With preschoolers and younger students, I often practice the play technique, with older students, in addition to studying grammar, we expand our vocabulary and learn to comprehend speech by ear by reading books and watching films in English. I try not to use Russian in the classroom, but to communicate with students mainly in English, in order to immerse myself in the language environment. I teach lessons both offline and online through the Zoom platform.

In August-September 2017 I worked as an English-speaking guide, lecturer, and a Zodiac (motorboat) driver in a trip conducted by Heritage Expeditions on Kamchatka and Chukotka. My duties were to drive a boat with foreign tourists, to assist tourists on board the ship and ashore, to guide the excursions in the wild, to give zoological lectures, to perform simultaneous translation from English to Russian, to teach bird-watching and whale-watching. That was one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had in my life.

I am a field biologist, a school teacher, a University lecturer, and a happy mother of three children, with whom I also practise my teaching skills. I love teaching English to children, sharing my knowledge, and encouraging them to speak on the topics that they enjoy, to read books, play games, and watch films in a foreign language.
