My name is Vedernikov Anton. I was born in 1984 on the 9th of August in Odessa. In 2001 I finished school №1 in 2001 in Nikel Murmansk region. And after that I entered the following Universities: St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State Abutment University, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic Institute, Moscow Bauman’s State Institute and Moscow State Institute of metallurgy. I lived in a metallurgy city and many of my relatives are working in metallurgical area that is why specialization in metallurgy was very attractive to me since my childhood. I have decided to study in the Moscow State Institute of metallurgy on the non-ferrous and precious metals faculty.
It was very interesting to study at institute therefore I was very active student. I was the participant of scientific and sports competitions between students. Also I finished student's active school and was the curator of first-year students of the faculty. Throughout four years I received the grant of fund of Potanin
During my studying at Institute I had summary practice at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “State research and design institute of mining and non-ferrous metallurgy” fsue «Gyprotsvetmet». I studied there basics calculation of mass balance in metallurgy processes, projection of ore mining and processing of metallurgical enterprises. I had Engineering practice in UgUralnikel industrial complex from June to July 2005. I observed the whole technological cycle of extraction metallurgical nickel from the oxidized nickel ore using process of blast smelting and modern process of smelting in a liquid bath (process Vanukov). Using of this knowledge helped me to do and uphold my degree work on the best mark. I finished Moscow State Institute of metallurgy with specialization in metallurgy of copper and nickel. I received profession as a metallurgical engineer. The subject of my degree work was Project of branch continuous converting melting shop in the Severonickel complex. This complex is very famous by producing 100 thousand tons of blister copper per a year.
After finishing the Institute I was offered to continue my studying on the budget post-graduate course. I passed all my exams such as philosophy, metallurgy and English on the best marks. And I was accepted on the post-graduate course. The theme of my post-graduate work is studying of the mechanism of formation of slag on cooled elements of metallurgical units.
In January 2006 I found work as an engineer-designer first category in the FSUE “Gyprotsvetmet”. In one and a half year I have been raised in a post up to the leading engineer-designer.
My working duties were the following:
- Data gathering for the project of a factory or shop
- Choice of the equipment
- Performance of drawings of the equipment
- Configuration of the equipment in a shop
- Development of communications of the enterprise
- Modernisation of factories
- Negotiating with manufacturers of the equipment
In the work to me all time was necessary to be guided by rules and norms in sphere of designing. I drew all drawings in AutoCad. Sometimes I had to use other computer programs, such as SolidWorks, Compas and so on.
In April 2008 to me have offered higher salary and a post in new firm. I began to work in a post of the main thing in group of engineers-designers.
My working duties were the following:
- Discussion with the customer of the future factory
- Discussion with the main technologist of the future shop.
- Choice of the "know-how"
- Choice of the capital equipment
- Choice of the minor equipment
- Choice of suppliers of the equipment
- Development of communications of the enterprise
- The coordination of the price with the customer
- Performance of drawings of the equipment
- Configuration of the equipment in a shop
I had to communicate with customers and manufacturers of the equipment very often. And it was difficult and interesting simultaneously. It has given me good experience of dialogue with representatives of metallurgical branch.
In November 2008 because of financial crisis in economy and in metallurgical branch I started search for a supplementary job. And I have found it as the leading engineer the designer and the technologist in the NBLgold group. Work in this company gives me more possibilities for professional dialogue and growth because it is the international company with a wide spectrum of activity. And every day I should continue dialogue with representatives of the various Russian and foreign companies.
I plan to make good career in the field of metallurgy and I hope that my professional experience and my ambitions will interest you. I count on long-term cooperation.
About myself I can add the following: I think my main personal qualities are correctly characterize the problem and making decisions, result-orienting, persistence, confidence, skill to communicate and easy to learn. I have healthy life style, go in for sports. I like basketball, table-tennis and swimming. I consider that any experience can be useful any situation can serve as a lesson.
