Providing/managing operational support in safety, fire and environmental protection as well as strategic responsibility for conducting training for rig personnel, preparing/conducting safety meetings, area inspections, operating Synergy system (Reporting of unsafe acts and conditions), providing verbal and written translation services for different language groups.Attending subcontractor progress meetings to answer queries on HSE concerns arising from such meetings. Keeping track of the Action Tracking Register and chase the timely close-out of action items. Conducting safety orientation training as requested by Training Department. Monitor the system of maintenance/inspection. Conducting periodic safety walk through/inspection of the work areas/submitting reports to the HSE Administration Office. Interfacing with subcontractors and various other entities involved in the project ensuring that HSE commitments made are appropriate, correctly documented and met as required by the contract. Bring any off-target HSE performance to the attention of the Project Superintendents for resolution of issues/concerns. HSE presentations on the weekly/monthly meeting as well as on HSE training sessions. Coordinate, monitor and effectively implement in the field the HSE activities across line departments to assure that all project tasks are accomplished effectively within the parameters of safety commitments. Observe work groups for unsafe acts. Intervene and advise workers if found committing unsafe acts. Advise work groups for compliance with HSE Guidelines and Safe Work Procedures. Supporting the Top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issues, supporting in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects. Supports the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue. Ensuring, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems. Monitoring the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and providing for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives. Providing motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided. Assisting the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work. Conducts safety audits both internal and external. Takes maing part in accident / incident investigation. Carrying out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans. Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects. Carrying out in-house safety training. Carrying out safety audits on Sub-contractors. Liaising between Clients on safety related issues. Safeties related engineering input into new projects and modification programs. Performs Risk Assessment. Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders. Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities.
