Responsible for all the purchasing functions, storing and issuing of all stored food, beverage, general, engineering and operating equipment, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:
• Manage all administrative functions of the purchasing Department, inclusive of staffing, training and fulfillment of other related duties
• Maintain logical storeroom inventory levels operationally needed
• Oversee overall hygiene, fire and safety, proper storing arrangement, cleanliness of storerooms and freezers according to corporate, local and international Standards
• Inform management and department heads on pending items, new procedures, system difficulties and other related matters
• Obtain written approval for established stock levels by the Financial Controller and General Manager
• Issue regularly slow moving item lists
• Ensure validity of items are available, force issue obsolete items and follow up on action taken for disposal
• Verify that all documentation and proper quotations are maintained and filed according to Hotel Policy and Procedure requirements.
