Bulgarian National Bank representative and point-of-contact in European and national experts’ advisory working groups and policy-making committees on payment systems and payment services regulation, compliance and oversight issues. 2. Point-of-Contact for Bulgaria and participant in European Central Bank and ESCB innovative research projects: Mapping of Institution-based Interdependencies; Mapping of System-based Interdependencies; Development of Risk-based approach to oversight; and others. 3. Participation in the execution of oversight activities by the Bulgarian National Bank, including oversight inspections, drafting of recommendations, execution of compliance assessments, licensing and registration of payment systems, payment institutions, e-money institutions, and etc. 4. Participation in the development and the promotion of new payment systems. Analysis of the effects and the impact of the payment systems over the monetary and financial stability. Observing the implementation and maintenance of international best practice standards, principles and recommendations in the payments sector (e.g. The ECB, The BIS, and etc). 5. Elaboration of methodology and policy documents, working out of strategies, guidelines, forecasts and reports for the development of the payments and the financial markets' payment infrastructure for the BNB management. Preparation of statistical and analytical reports for the wholesale and retail national and cross-border payments, including analytical and statistical reports for submission to The World Bank, The IMF, The ECB and etc. 6. Drafting of implementation legal acts for the transposition of the European directives and regulations in the payments and payment systems sector.
